Expandable Chassis System

Say goodbye to half empty and expensive mainframes which waste your rack or benchtop space! The XCS features a chassis modular architecture for easy user reconfiguration and customization of the test platform. It offers various form factors, from the compact 1U half rack for seamless expansion of existing systems, to full rack sizes (1U, 2U, 3U or 6U) capable of accommodating multiple modules configured during ordering.

Choose from a wide range of fixed wavelength sources:

• SM, PM or MM
• FP, DFB, LED or SLED
• 1 and 10 mW laser sources available
• 850, 940, 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550 or 1625 nm
• Custom core sizes and wavelengths available upon request

Based on the same technology as the high-performance OVA-100, the XCS lets you integrate optical variable attenuators for precise and repeatable power control. With SM or PM fiber, you can choose between the standard 60 dB or the long 100 dB attenuation ranges. MM and custom core sizes are also available as are power monitoring options.

Choose between ultra-low loss (< 0.5 dB) optomechanical or fast (< 10 ms) MEMS optical switches. Available in SM, PM or MM with 1 or 2 commons and up to 400 channels. Custom core sizes, wavelengths and configurations available upon request.

Utilizing the capabilities of the OPM-200, Santec’s latest generation power meter, the XCS can offer different free-space detectors (2mm InGaAs or integrating sphere) able to cover a power range from 30 to -80 dBm and wavelength from 840 to 1700 nm. With dedicated analog outputs and bandwidth up to 10 kHz, the XCS power meters are ideal for optical alignment.
