ELSFP Simulator
Stabilized Light Source
Reliable, drift-free light for accurate CPO and component testing.
• Up to 16 channels — test multiple ports in one setup
• 1311 nm PM outputs — ideal wavelength for EL SFP module simulation
• 23+ dBm optical output power — simulate high-power conditions without external amps
• Compliant to OIF ELSFP IA CMIS 5.1 — guaranteed compatibility with industry standards
• SCPI commands via USB or Ethernet — plug-and-play automation for repeatable testing
Description
Testing CPO modules requires stable, repeatable optical power — any drift or noise creates unreliable data. The SLS-230 is designed for this exact environment. It simulates EL SFP light sources with consistent output, letting you evaluate performance across up to 16 channels without juggling multiple devices.
The standard model has a minimum output power of 23 dBm at 1311 nm and PER > 15 dB with up to 16 sources. Auto-power mode is adjustable down to 20 dBm. Other wavelengths, power requirements and custom specifications available upon request.
Applications
The SLS-230 is built for lab environments where stability and repeatability matter most.
Typical uses include:
- High power testing
- Simulate CPO performances
- Passive and active component testing
- QA and R&D testing
