MGFM

Description

Flexible frequency conversion for high-power and multi-wavelength applications

The MGFM series from Santec uses single-pass quasi-phase-matched nonlinear crystals to enable efficient frequency doubling and mixing without the need for an optical cavity. Designed for flexibility and simplicity, MGFM systems support a wide range of wavelengths and configurations.

With integrated temperature control and support for fibre-coupled operation, MGFM modules provide a practical solution for wavelength conversion in both research and OEM environments.

Single-pass conversion (no cavity required)

Eliminates the need for cavity locking, enabling simple and robust operation.

Broad wavelength flexibility

Supports many important wavelengths including 780nm, 795nm, 765nm, and 644nm, with configurable PPLN crystals.

Frequency doubling and mixing

Supports both SHG and sum-frequency generation (SFG) with dual-input configurations.

Integrated temperature control

Precision crystal oven with control via USB-C connection.

Fibre-coupled options

Supports fibre input/output for easy integration into optical systems.

Applications

  • Flexible wavelength conversion
  • Frequency mixing and generation of custom wavelengths
  • Quantum optics and atomic physics
  • Spectroscopy and sensing
  • OEM and compact photonics systems

System Integration

MGFM modules are designed for easy integration into existing optical systems. With no cavity locking required and support for fibre coupling, they provide a flexible solution for both standalone use and incorporation into more complex photonics setups.
