santec Announces Swept Test Platform (STP-100) and High-Dynamic-Range 4-Channel Power Meter Module (MPM-315)

— A next-generation swept measurement platform designed for AI-driven optical interconnects, silicon photonics, co-packaged optics (CPO), and high-density optical component testing. —

Product Name: Swept Test Platform
Model Number: STP-100
Product Name: 4-Channel Optical Power Meter Module
Model Number: MPM-315

As AI infrastructure and silicon photonics continue to drive demand for faster and more complex optical devices, test systems require higher throughput, greater scalability, and simplified system integration. santec LIS Corporation (Komaki, Aichi, Japan) announces the launch of its latest product, Swept Test Platform (STP-100) and the 4-Channel Optical Power Meter Module (MPM-315). The STP-100 is a new shared platform optimized for high-speed swept measurements with santec’s tunable laser sources (TSL Series). In addition to optical power meter modules, the platform can integrate multiple functional modules, including polarization controller modules and optical switch modules.

The platform supports up to 6 module slots and delivers data transfer speeds up to 4 times faster (up to 100 Mbps) than previous model. This significantly improves data acquisition efficiency during high-speed swept measurements and supports a wide range of optical device evaluation applications, from research and development to production-line testing.
The STP-100 also enables easy construction of optical characterization systems for measurements such as insertion loss (IL), wavelength-dependent loss (WDL), and polarization-dependent loss (PDL), improving evaluation efficiency for silicon photonic devices and optical communication components.
The MPM-315 is a high-dynamic-range 4-channel optical power meter module designed for use with the STP-100 platform. Utilizing proprietary detection technology, it enables wide-range, high-accuracy optical power measurements within a single wavelength sweep, allowing more efficient optical characterization than conventional approaches.
The STP-100 is equipped with LAN, USB, and GPIB communication interfaces. In addition, both the STP-100 and MPM-315 maintain command compatibility with existing MPM Series products, enabling easy migration from existing test systems.

Swept Test Platform (STP-100) + 4ch Optical Power Meter Module (MPM-315)

Key Features:

1. Highly Scalable Modular Platform

The STP-100 supports up to 6 module slots, allowing flexible combinations of optical power meters, polarization controllers, optical switches, and other modules. Users can optimize system configurations according to their specific applications, supporting a broad range of optical measurement needs from R&D to volume manufacturing.

2. Up to 4 Times Faster Data Transfer for Improved Test Efficiency

The STP-100 employs high-speed LAN communication and achieves data transfer rates up to 4 times faster (up to 100 Mbps) than previous models. This significantly reduces data collection time during multi-channel, high-speed swept measurements and enables high-throughput optical device testing.

3. Supports Optical Power Measurement Systems with Up to 24 Channels

By installing up to 6 modules, users can build an optical power measurement system with as many as 24 channels. This configuration is ideal for applications requiring multi-channel measurements, such as testing multi-port optical components and optical switch products.

4. High-Dynamic-Range Measurements in a Single Wavelength Sweep

The MPM-315 is a 4-channel optical power meter module. Its proprietary detection technology provides a wide measurement range within a single swept measurement, reducing test time while improving measurement accuracy. It is particularly suited for applications that require a wide dynamic range, including wavelength-dependent characteristic measurements and high-loss device testing.

Order Acceptance: Scheduled to begin in October 2026

Exhibition Information:
The STP-100 and MPM-315 will be exhibited at CIOE 2026, taking place in Shenzhen, China, starting September 9, 2026.
